How we are funded
We'd rather be upfront about this than bury it. BritBetBoard makes money through affiliate links — here's exactly what that means for you.
What an affiliate link is
Some of the links to betting operators on this site are affiliate links. If you click one, go through to the operator and open an account, we may receive a commission from that operator. The link often carries a tracking reference so the operator can see the visit came from us.
What it costs you: nothing
You pay no more for using an affiliate link than you would by typing the operator's address into your browser. The odds, markets and offers you see are set by the operator and are the same either way. The commission is paid by the operator, not by you.
What it does not affect
This is the important part. Affiliate commission funds the site; it does not write the reviews. A commercial relationship does not buy a higher editorial score, a place on the comparison, or a softer verdict. Our scoring follows the method set out in our Editorial Review Policy, and our reviews note weak points as readily as strong ones.
Links and tracking
Outbound operator links may include readable campaign and tracking parameters. External commercial links are marked as sponsored where appropriate. We do not control the operator's site, its content, its terms or how it processes your data once you leave us.
Still our standard
We are an independent comparison platform — not a bookmaker, operator or regulator, and not owned by the brands we review. Funding does not change that. Anything to do with your bet happens on the operator's site under their terms.
